About the Course
The Basic Makeup Course is designed for beginners who want a thorough grounding in professional makeup techniques. Over 10 classes, you will learn everything from skin preparation and colour theory to contouring, eye makeup, and complete daytime, evening, and bridal looks, each with professional photoshoots to build your portfolio.
This course gives you the confidence and skills to start working with clients or to continue into the full Makeup Artistry Program. Every class from this course counts toward the Makeup Artistry Program if you decide to upgrade.

Classes are small groups (max. 5 people) so we guarantee you personalised and focused attention from the teacher that you won't receive in big group classes in other schools.
The course will be offered in different ways so you can choose the one that suits you best:
• 1 class per week: Learn at a relaxed pace, one session per week.
• 2 classes per week: Attend twice a week and complete the program in half the time.
• Personalised (Private): We will adjust the classes for you to finish as fast as possible or according to your schedule (subject to availability, special rates apply) — just ask!
• Express / Intensive: Daily classes to complete the program in the shortest time possible. Ideal for international students or anyone who wants an intensive format. Maximum 2 payments (one at booking, one at start).
Because of the amount of international students our classes are in English with translation to Dutch or Spanish.
The course also includes:
• 7 professional photoshoots to help you build your portfolio and experience the photography set-up.
• Award-winner teachers.
• Guides and study material.
• Access to our model's Social Media groups to help you find models for your classes.
• Access to exclusive Masterclasses and student discounts with M.A.C, Make Up For Ever and other remarkable brands.
• Internships at the school (conditions apply).

Content of the Course
In the Basic Makeup Course, you will learn:
• Professional hygiene standards and preparation techniques.
• Identification and use of professional makeup tools and brushes.
• Skin preparation, analysis, and priming for different skin types and conditions.
• Color theory and color correction for various skin tones.
• Application of foundation, contouring, highlighting, and blush techniques for different face shapes.
• Eyebrow shaping and styling, including natural and defined looks.
• Daytime makeup techniques for subtle, neutral looks.
• Evening makeup techniques, including smokey eyes, halo eyes, and glamorous styles.
• Mastery of false eyelash application, including individual, classic, and "doll lashes" effects.
• Bridal makeup techniques for natural and glamorous styles.

Prices
• Group Lessons (up to 5 people): €1,550 (starter kit included*).
• Private Lessons (1-2 people): €1,940 (starter kit included*).
• Express / Intensive (1-on-1 private): €1,940 (starter kit included*).
Our courses are tax-free, meaning you don't pay additional taxes on the course amount. Additionally, you can include the course as an education expense in your yearly tax declaration, encompassing materials and related costs.
Flexible Payment Options
For plans with 2 installments, a 5% additional fee is applied to the total amount.
Installment Breakdown:
• Group: 2 installments of €813.75 (total: €1,627.50).
• Private: 2 installments of €1,018.50 (total: €2,037.00).
Express / Intensive (1-on-1 private, residents of the Netherlands):
• 50% to reserve the course: €970.00.
• 50% on the first day of class: €970.00.

For International Students:
Secure your spot with a €300 deposit (non-refundable after 14 days). The remaining balance is due on the first day of the course.
*Starter kit included for students who pay in full when enrolling. International students and Express students who select a payment plan receive the kit upon paying the additional materials fee of €150.
Materials
As part of your enrollment in the Basic Makeup Course, you will receive a thoughtfully curated starter kit with professional brushes, hygiene materials, and a palette of foundations from MAC Cosmetics and other professional brands.
Students who pay in full when enrolling receive the starter kit for free, included in the course price. Students who choose to pay in installments must pay an additional materials fee of €150 before the course begins.
Throughout your training you will have unlimited access to the academy's full range of professional products at no extra cost. You are also welcome to bring any additional materials of your own.
Certification
Upon completion of the Makeup Artistry Program, students will be awarded a certificate that validates their expertise in professional makeup artistry. This certificate demonstrates their ability to apply their knowledge and skills at the highest standards, preparing them to excel in the beauty industry.
Our School
We are an approved member of the International Union for Makeup and Hairstylist Education.
We can prepare you for the exam at the Kwaliteitscentrum Uiterlijke Verzorging Branche Diploma Visagie if you wish to take that test.
We are also registered at the Dutch CRKBO which means that our courses are VAT-free, because of this, you do not pay any taxes over the course's price and also, the course can be included for deductions in the yearly tax declaration as education expenses (including what you spend in materials and related expenses). The courses are held at the following location:
Koninginnegracht 101, 2514 AL, Den Haag.
Public transportation: you can come by tram 9 and get off at the stop Riouwstraat. If you are coming from other cities, you can take tram 9 either from the Den Haag Central Station or from Den Haag Hollands Spoor.
If you are coming by car: the location is near the Centrumring providing a direct connection to the national highway network (A4 The Hague - Amsterdam, A12 The Hague - Utrecht, A13 The Hague - Rotterdam) via Koningskade and Zuid-Hollandlaan.
Parking: there are parking places on the streets surrounding the location. The cost is €2,60 per hour Monday to Friday from 9:00 until 17:00, evenings and weekends are free.
Children or extra companions are NOT allowed in class.
